Book review: The rollicking rhythm and rhyme of this great read-aloud keep the story humming along as the farmer picks up all of the farm animals and the animals who are roaming the countryside.　But it wasn't easy for me to read. (I am still not good in reading such book) Yvette also not very keen on this book. Perhaps this book is for much older kid.

Book review: This is first time we read Sandra Boynton book and I like this book. I found a video clip for this book in Youtube too and showed it to Yvette. Unfortunately, Yvette doesn't have much liking for this book.

What to expect: A book full of illustration.

Book review: This book is attracted to me because the illustrator is an award winner. And indeed, it does not fail me. The book is really full of illustration and the illustration is really interesting. Not much of word but the word egg is still eye catching.

I thought Yvette will have liking for this book as she like egg. But sadly, she still show no interest in reading for this week.

Book review: Trying to introduce word, daddy to Yvette. Yvette lost interest in reading recently. Can't really read thru the book with her. I only read aloud some pages and tried to point out the word, daddy to her.

Book review: Yvette has liking for cat. So it not difficult for her to appreciate this book. I created many "sound effect" as I read to her to engage her interest too. Eg, I will say "Slash" when I read till "There was water everywhere".

Book review: Needlessness to say, Yvette loves this book very much. Her favorite character Spot. Personally I find this is a good counting book too.

Play-doh

I made shapes and I left my Play-doh sit overnight without keeping them and didn't realise it will became dry and hard.

To restore the softness, I add water and working it in to moisten the PLAY-DOH compound. (Play-doh is made of wheat.)

It works!

Book review: When I read this book with Yvette, she simply just goes "gua" "gua" "gua" all the times. I wonder is she reading with me?

I like the illustration when the duck chasing after her feather. So determine. This is a Touch and Feel book. Yvette chuckled whenever I put her hand onto the books.

Book review: Yvette doesn't has special liking for this book but she doesn't stop me for completing it.

We do have a few Dr. Seuss book at home. But this is the first one we are reading. After reading it, I find reading Dr. Seuss book need some skill to read which I need I am lack of. My diction on some wordings is not accurate. His book indeed does blends words and pictures that encourage children to read.

I like the illustration for the B, M & N but I have difficulty reading the the F & the Z.
